Aric Martin will be presenting a webinar entitled RoPs Overview: Compliance and Ethics Enforcement on June 18, 2019 from 2:00 to 3:00 on behalf of Leading Age.
In November 2019, surveyors will begin reviewing and enforcing Phase 3 of the new Requirements of Participation relating to compliance and ethics programs. In order to be prepared, nursing home providers need to have a compliance program in place that effectively identities, mitigates, and responds to high risk areas.
Aric will outline the steps that need to be taken in advance of survey enforcement in light of the new Requirements of Participation. Specifically, Aric will:

- Identify the requisite elements of a compliance and ethics program that will meet survey requirements.
- Gain an understanding of the necessary skills and responsibilities of an effective compliance and ethics officer.
- Review practical approaches for preventative compliance and how to respond when compliance issues arise.
